MODIST: Models of Uncertainty and Risk for Distributed Software Development
MODIST is a method and tool to help the managers of large Software
Projects make more effective decisions in relation to Quality and Risk.
MODIST was developed with the financial support of the Commission
of the European Communities under the Information Society Technologies
programme (Project IST-2000-28749). The project partners were Agena, Israel Aircraft
Industries, Philips Digital Systems Laboratories, Philips Innovative
Applications and QinetiQ.
The MODIST project website is
here.
The MODIST method and models are described in
this document. The method has now been incorporated into the
AgenaRisk toolset. One of the models, namely the
project level model, is supplied as a standard example with the toolset. The model is also available separately
here,
while a video introducing the model is available
here.
